What do WE do?

WE Placemaking specialises in creative and disruptive placemaking. From unique and bright benches that undulate with the landscape to parklets that disrupt the bland pavement scene. We also excel at mural commissioning, bringing the brightest and boldest artists to any wall and managing all the permissions, concept approvals and identifying sites as needed.

Our belief is that public spaces should serve their communities in complex and in depth ways, making use of interesting and long lasting materials and serving people in important ways. They should be inclusive and conscious of groups and their needs and they should be designed with a humanist approach.

We also undertake community research and correlate ideas to form our concepts meaning we have community buy-in and encourage local ownership of installations.

    Markets and Events

    Markets are the incubation ground for communities. It empowers creators and creatives and also makes space for communities. We have vast experience establishing markets and attracting good quality traders who value the space and help make it really special.

    Public Art

    We absolutely love public art. It has the ability to transform and unite an area. We have worked with some of the UK’s most celebrated artists to create murals for BIDs, Councils and private individuals.

    We have vast experience of taking vacant units or unused spaces and turning them into valuable meanwhile spaces. From indoor playgrounds to affordable roleplay spaces in vacant units.

    Parklets / Pocket Parks

    Growing in popularity, parklets are a little moment of pure joy on a otherwise grey street. We work with independent makers to create robust, long-lasting parks that cater for the cities needs. From bike parking to seating and chessboards.
